Music Ministries

"And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and  with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets."

                                                     I Chronicles 13:8

Sister Elnora Lynch was one of the first organizers of the choir.  She served as the Music Director for several years.  Although her health has prohibited her from singing in the choir, she continues to faithfully support Greater New Zion Baptist Church.  She is in attendance in both Sunday school and Morning Worship service every Sunday.

We salute Sister Lynch for continued musical contributions during morning worship service.

Bible Study

Purpose of Bible Study

Bible study is essential for deepening your relationship with God. Paul the Apostle says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." As we encounter God's Word together, we have an opportunity to share our different perspectives and insights and are broadened because of the interaction. the key purpose of Bible study is to collectively grasp an understanding of God through His Word.
